cometpost asks TikTok for two permissions: to see your basic profile, and to upload videos to your drafts. It does not ask for permission to post.
How it works
- Sign in to cometpost with Google, then choose Continue with TikTok in the dashboard to connect your account.
- Approve the permissions on TikTok's own screen.
- Attach the video and pick a time, or let an assistant draft the post through the MCP server or API.
- At the scheduled time cometpost sends the video to your TikTok drafts. The dashboard shows it as Sent to TikTok drafts, not Published. Open TikTok, add the caption and finish posting.
Limits worth knowing
- cometpost cannot publish on TikTok, and cannot tell whether you post the draft.
- No caption, title, privacy or other options are sent. Anything typed into the post text is not forwarded to TikTok.
- TikTok allows at most 5 pending drafts per account in 24 hours, and its own checks on the file can still refuse it.
- One video per post. Photo posts are not supported.

Questions
Why does my video go to drafts instead of being posted?
cometpost uses TikTok's upload flow, which hands a video to the creator and stops there. TikTok's separate direct-post access is not part of cometpost today, so the last step is yours.
Is the caption sent?
No. TikTok's upload flow accepts no caption, so you write it in TikTok when you finish the draft.
Can an AI assistant post to TikTok for me?
It can send a video to your drafts, and only if you allow it to schedule. It cannot post for you. An assistant is told the delivery is a draft, not a post.
How many accounts can I connect on Free?
Three Channels, with no card. A TikTok account is one Channel. The Free plan also allows 3 distinct videos scheduled per month; paid plans are described on the pricing page.
What if the video is rejected?
cometpost checks format, size, length and frame rate before scheduling and tells you the reason. TikTok can still refuse a file afterwards, and the dashboard then shows the failure.
